BROTHER COMS
Brother Coms was born in the Gambia, the smiling coast of west
Africa, in 1978. He was born in Serekunda, one of the most famous towns
in the Gambia. His real name is Lamin Fatty and he fell in love with music
just at the peak of his education. Brother Coms started music the same
year as he completed schooling in 1998, when he met his duo partner Daddy
Sam and it led to the birth of Dancehall Masters - one of the Gambias
pride of all times. They made till now three albums. First one was entitled
Brotherman was released in 1999, followed by Masterful Creation
in 2001. The third baby called Senegambia was later released in
Dakar, Senegal. They are known also in other african countries, Europe
and in the USA, but at the moment they are both working on their solo
projects.
RANKING FIRE
Rankin Fire also known as Fireman was born in Bakau - small town in the heart of Gambia. He was born Momodou Lamin Leigh, but the name Fireman emerged as he started his musical career. This name could be accepted by anyone who would see Fireman on stage, his energy is like a roaring lion. He started music at the age of eleven, but started with his group - The Born Africans - in 1995, who conquered The Gambia at a point in time and still leaving prints of the success. The group broke as a result of its two members leaving abroad in 2000. Fireman started his solo career then. His first album is due to be out as soon as possible. This album is mix of different flavour of music ranging from Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop and some Mbalax mix.i.
Both artists are working in Africa with well known producer Buba Nīdour
- a brother to the famous West African superstar Youssou Nīdour.
