UKs newcomer and next reggae star! After innumerable shows in England with legendary Daddy Freddy as well with drum'n'bass stars like Top Cat or Tenor Fly - Bongo Chilli belong to the Top A Top Artists in the UK. His lyrics against slackness and violence - mostly in a humoristic style makes him a special artist of the new generation. If roots, dancehall or drum'n'bass - with his energyloaded stage show he is ready now for Europe.

Born and grown in Jamaica, he was - like should it be - already as a child influenced by reggae music. With 10 years he already wrote his first lyrics. Stage shows with Bounty Killer, General Trees or Nitty Kutchie followed. In 95 he came to England and Bongo Chilli attended college in Nottingham received a Diplom in music technology and has since facilitated and delivered a number of training sessions for youth workshops, demonstrating / teaching his art. He also participated in a number of rap workshops as well community based projects.

In the year 2001 he met the Rootsman - the mighty producer, DJ and "Third Eye"label owner outta Bradford. Rootsman produced a number of songs by Bongo Chilli including "Action Alone" and "Read Your Bible". Many further productions followed, where Bongo combined constantly mix various styles like dancehall, dub, hipHop and Jungle. His fresh style made him famous in the British music scene. He performed live on BBC with YT as well with Daddy Freddy. Different radio stations sent already interviews and specials.

In 2005 he founded his own label "Bongo Chilli Records" and released his first 12inch "Sounds like" including a drum'n'bass remix by Benny Page which is on the way to be one of big hits in 06. His first album will be released in February 2007 and will embrace the various genre of music. In cooperation with Topline - the "Rise Up" Selection was released in December 2006 including artists like Mykal Rose, Robert Lee or Ecleton Jarrett. Chilli also voiced tunes for different labels like Bassrunner or Jahsouljah.
With the ability to enhance arguably any version with his conscious and often humorous style Chilli will be seen on his Europe tour in March 2007. He allready smashed up shows in Germany, Spain, Sweden, Slovenia and two times succesfully in Prague. Watch out: The original Peppaman!
